Spring is in the air!!!!!! Don't you just love it!!

Come June 6th Angie and I will be celabrating.....5 years for us as owners of the Paitned Turtle Art Shop and Rainge Gallery and 25 years for the Painted Turtle Art Shop. We have worked hard over those years as many of you know and feel that we have brought something very important to this community, an awarness of the value of culture. Join us for our special celebration event June 6th and 7th. More info to follow closer to that date.

Watch for the Harbour Arts Festival taking place June 6th and 7th along with the Boston, Kim Mitchell & Eddie Money concert, Auto Show Extravaganza & The George Jeffrey Children's Foundation 5th Annual Thunder 100 Soap Box Derby all taking place in and around the Heart of the Harbour downtown Thunder Bay North. If you are interested in booking a spot to sell your art for this event come see me here at the store after May 1st.

Also we will soon be booking for Art of the Harbour which takes place each Wed. evening during the Summer in the Parks Concerts in Marina Park. More information about that event will be sent out in May.

April 29th is the date for the Chronicle Journal Awards for Arts and Heritage. The luncheon takes place from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery. Tickets are $25, we have some here at the Painted Turtle or you can get them at the TBAG or Community Services Reception at the Civic Centre in Victoriaville. For more info about the awards call 625-2365.
