Artist in Studio
 Elliott Doxtater-Wynn Born - May 10, 1974
I was born in Sudbury, and raised through my formative years in Six Nations Reserve just outside of Brantford Ontario. I was raised on the Pow Wow trail and learned to make various types of traditional crafts from a very young age. Later in my teens I attended BEALart Vocational School in London Ontario. Beal gave me the foundation to pursue art as a career. A few years after finishing at Beal with a special arts certificate in sculptural design I moved to Thunder Bay with my new little family. I attended Lakehead graduating in 2005 with an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I worked independently as both an artist and educator in school boards across Ontario and at CBC Radio here in Thunder Bay.
Greatest hits as an artist so far would be being selected to designs works for 2 venue sites at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver B.C. My work with the Olympics included a bottle design for Coca-Cola. I was even fortunate to attend the Olympics as a guest at the arts opening and Artist Market during the games itself.
I have also received an Aboriginal Youth Achievement recognition award and recently the Northwestern Ontario Visionary Award through the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce. I currently am finishing my professional year to acquire my teacher’s degree from Lakehead University. In addition I have a gallery show currently touring southern Ontario, recently opened at the Niagara Arts Centre in St. Catherines.
Most importantly I live in Thunder Bay with my beautiful wife Ronalda and my three awesome children.
